This document will feature how to install IBM HATS v9.7 and run it for the first time.
Prerequisites:
• WebSphere® Application Server v8.x, or v9.0
• Rational Application Developer for WebSphere (SDP)
Note: If no Development tool is installed, IBM HATS will not install.
Currently there is no RDi v9.7 hence Webfacing is not available to install.
As alternative install RDi v9.6 and HATS v9.6 to use Webfacing or HATS/Webfacing.
1. Go to the Software Product Compatibility Reports page to determine if all the prerequisites are fulfilled or to look for other hardware and software prerequisites for the system.
Site: https://www.ibm.com/software/reports/compatibility/clarity/softwareReqsForProduct.html
2. Open Installation Manager. Click on Start > Installation Manager > Installation Manager.
Note: Installation Manager should be at least at v1.8.9.2 otherwise it needs to be updated to proceed with the installation of HATS. To check this, click on Help > About.
3. Click on File > Preferences then click on Add Repository.
Note: After adding the path of the Repository config file click on Test Connection.
12. Click on Start > IBM WebSphere Application Server > Profile Management Tool.
Note: The Profile Management Tool is the graphical user interface in defining the runtime environments.
18. Click on Finish.
19. WAS runtime environment profile is created.
21. Select a Workspace path or just click on Launch to use the default path.
Note: The folder will contain the HATS project and EAR files.
